Recent Advances in Dielectric Chiral Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
This review article mainly focuses on the recent advances in dielectric chiral metasurfaces, which exhibit remarkable optical chirality. Many new physical conceptions will be introduced during the fast development of the dielectric chiral metasurfaces, such as chiral quasi‐BIC, chiral guided modes, and nonlocal metasurfaces.

Bioimaging of sense organs and the central nervous system in extant fishes and reptiles in situ: A review

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Bioimaging of the sense organs and brain of fishes and reptiles. Left panel: 3D reconstruction of the head and brain of the deep‐sea viperfish Chauliodus sloani following diceCT. Right panel: A 3D reconstruction of a 70‐day‐old embryo head of the bearded dragon Pogona vitticeps following diceCT, showing the position of the segmented brain within the ...

Hyperspectral wavefront sensing with a multicore fiber [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Single-shot hyperspectral wavefront sensing is essential for applications like spatio-spectral coupling metrology in high power laser or fast material dispersion imaging. Under broadband illumination, traditional wavefront sensors assume an achromatic wavefront, which makes them unsuitable. We introduce a hyperspectral wavefront sensing scheme based on

Adaptive optics light-sheet microscopy based on direct wavefront sensing without any guide star.

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2019
We propose an adaptive optics light-sheet fluorescence microscope (AO-LSFM) for closed-loop aberrations' correction at the emission path, providing intrinsic instrumental simplicity and high accuracy when compared to previously reported schemes.

Nanosecond Hyperquenching for Electron Cryo‐Microscopy Without Air‐Water Interface Artifacts

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A novel method for the ultrafast vitrification of the biological assemblies is assayed by the electron cryotomography. Protein specimens prepared by this method inherently lack the spatial/structural artifacts, which derive from the surface tension at the air‐water interface (AWI).
