Stabilization of Strongly Reduced Fe(I) Single Atom Species Coordinated in a 2D Self‐Assembled Metal–Organic Network

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A graphene‐supported 2D metal–organic network stabilizes highly reactive Fe(I)‐N4 single sites through Co‐induced charge redistribution. Combined experiments and theory reveal Fe(I) formation, oxygen‐driven oxidation, and O2 activation mechanisms, offering a strategy to access low‐valent iron centers relevant to catalytic and biological processes ...

Lone‐Pair‐Induced Lattice Distortion in Lead‐Free Hybrid Perovskites for High‐Performance Nanogenerators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A lead‐free tin‐based hybrid perovskite is designed in which stereochemically active lone‐pair electrons on tin distort the crystal lattice and break its symmetry. Blended into a flexible polymer, the material converts pressure into electricity at milliwatt‐scale power density and continues working far below freezing, powering a commercial wristwatch ...

Self‐Adaptive Gradient Interphase Enables Durable Solid‐State Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a machine learning‐guided interfacial design that forms a self‐adaptive graded interphase on lithium metal anode. A B105M40 composite interlayer evolves into lithiophilic, porous, and fast‐ion‐conducting phases, enabling intimate contact, dendrite suppression, and uniform lithium deposition.

Wavefunction of polariton condensates in a tunable acoustic lattice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We study the spatial coherence of polariton condensates subjected to coherent modulation by a one-dimensional tunable acoustic potential. We use an interferometric technique to measure the amplitude and phase of the macroscopic condensate wavefunction. By

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

Nonlocal wavefunction collapse for a single particle using homodyne measurement without post-selection

open access: yes, 2014
We demonstrate the nonlocal wavefunction collapse for a single particle, the idea of which dates back to Einstein’s first argument on his concerns about quantum theory, by performing EPR-steering using heralded single photons.Full ...

Energetic Offset in Organic Solar Cells‐ Importance, Confusion and Outlook

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Energetic offsets in organic solar cells (OSCs) remain a subject of debate due to measurement‐ and lab‐dependent discrepancies. This Perspective clarifies the physical origins of these variations and identifies temperature‐dependent electro‐optical methods as a reliable approach to obtain consistent offset values.

Wavefunction Collapse Broadens Molecular Spectrum

open access: yesEncyclopedia, 2023
Spectral lines in the optical spectra of atoms, molecules, and other quantum systems are characterized by a range of frequencies ω or a range of wavelengths λ=2πc/ω, where c is the speed of light.

Evidence for Itinerant Ferromagnetic Flat Bands Producing Large Transverse Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Itinerant ferromagnetic flat bands are demonstrated in GdCo5 with a high Curie temperature of 940K, a stacked honeycomb–kagome lattice, through angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy and magneto‐thermoelectric measurements. These topological flat bands generate large Berry curvaturte, producing gigantic anomalous Nernst effect with record‐high ...

Does gravity induce wavefunction collapse? An examination of Penrose's argument [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
According to Penrose, the fundamental conflict between the superposition principle of quantum mechanics and the general covariance principle of general relativity entails the existence of wavefunction collapse, e.g.
