Wavelength Division Multiplexing at 2μm [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communication, 2012
This paper shows, for the first time, the implementation of a WDM subsystem at the 2μm wavelength window with mixed formats. Three wavelength channels were directly modulated with BPSK Fast-OFDM at 5Gbit/s per channel, with a fourth channel NRZ-OOK externally modulated at 8.5Gbit/s giving a total capacity in excess of 20 Gbit/s.

Polymeric wavelength division multiplexer

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1999
A polymeric wavelength division multiplexer based on a new double reflective grating structure (DRG) is presented for the first time. A four-channel device with a channel spacing of 200 GHz (1.6 nm) has been designed and realised for application within the low cost datacoms market.

Two wavelength division multiplexing WAN trials [PDF]

open access: yesDigest of Papers. COMPCON'95. Technologies for the Information Superhighway, 2002
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, as a super-user, supercomputer, and super-application site, is anticipating the future bandwidth and protocol requirements necessary to connect to other such sites as well as to connect to remote-sited control centers and experiments.

Compact polymeric wavelength division multiplexer

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1999
A compact polymeric wavelength division multiplexer based on a slab waveguide and a reflective transmission grating is presented for application within the low cost data-communications market. The device channel spacing is 800 GHz (6.4 nm), measures only 4/spl times/4 mm in size, displays a polarisation-dependent wavelength shift of 0.1 nm and ...
