Biphoton Interference in a Double-Slit Experiment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A double-slit experiment with entangled photons is theoretically analyzed. It is shown that, under suitable conditions, two entangled photons of wavelength $\lambda$ can behave like a \emph{biphoton} of wavelength $\lambda/2$.

Effect of wavelength of sinusoidal wavy wall surface on drag and heat transfer at turbulent thermal boundary layer flow

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Science and Technology, 2018
Direct numerical simulations of thermal turbulent boundary layer flows over a wavy wall surface are performed to investigate the effect of a wavelength on drag coefficients and heat transfer performance.

Environmental Cycles, Melatonin, and Circadian Control of Stress Response in Fish

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2019
Fish have evolved a biological clock to cope with environmental cycles, so they display circadian rhythms in most physiological functions including stress response.

Design of Zero Dispersion Optical Fiber at Wavelength 1.3 m [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة التربية والعلم, 2018
In this article, an optical fiber was designed with zero- dispersion at wavelength of (1.3 m). The design took into consideration many factors of the fiber, such as; fiber cross- section, fiber material, refractive index.

High channel count and high precision channel spacing multi-wavelength laser array for future PICs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Multi-wavelength semiconductor laser arrays (MLAs) have wide applications in wavelength multiplexing division (WDM) networks. In spite of their tremendous potential, adoption of the MLA has been hampered by a number of issues, particularly wavelength ...

In-door germination and seedling growth of green and red lettuce under LED-light spectrum and subsequent effect on baby leaf lettuce

open access: yesItalian Journal of Agronomy, 2022
The spectrum and intensity of light play a significant role in the primary and secondary metabolism of plants. Low intensity can make the photosynthetic process less efficient, while inadequate spectrum can impair plant growth and quality.

Theoretical Analysis of Suspended Road Dust in Relation to Concrete Pavement Texture Characteristics

open access: yesAtmosphere
Particulate matter (PM) originating from road dust is an increasing concern in urban air quality, particularly as non-exhaust emissions from tire–pavement interactions gain prominence.

Nanosecond channel-switching exact optical frequency synthesizer using an optical injection phase-locked loop (OIPLL) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Experimental results are reported on an optical frequency synthesizer for use in dynamic dense wavelength-division-multiplexing networks, based on a tuneable laser in an optical injection phase-locked loop for rapid wavelength locking.

Impact of optical wavelength on the reliability of photoplethysmography-based heart rate measurements outside of controlled laboratory environments

open access: yesCurrent Issues in Sport Science
Introduction The effectiveness of heart rate (HR) measurements via photoplethysmography (PPG) depends on the wavelength of light used. Typical PPG sensors use green, red, or infrared light, each penetrating the skin to different depths (Ray et al ...
