Ultrasonic Rainbow: A Meta‐Transducer for Frequency‐Selective Elastic Wave Control via Dithering‐Based Wavenumber Tuning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
A piezoelectric meta‐transducer generates an ultrasonic rainbow, steering guided elastic waves to different angles according to frequency. A dithering‐based binary electrode design enables a closer realization of the target wavenumber filter, improving directional purity and suppressing unwanted lobes. Numerical and experimental validation demonstrates

Nonviral Gold Nanoparticle‐Mediated Delivery of CRISPR‐Cas9 Ribonucleoprotein and Long DNA Transgenes Into Primary Blood Cells

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
CRISPR/Cas9 has revolutionized the field of gene therapy, but delivery remains an outstanding issue. We propose a nonviral gold‐nanoparticle platform for co‐delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 ribonucleoprotein and long 2.1 kilobase dsDNA transgene constructs. This CRISPR‐AuNP is inexpensive to produce and mediate gene editing and DNA delivery in T cells and CD34+

IL‐6 Upregulates CD73 in Human Placental Mesenchymal Stem Cells to Promote ATRA‐Induced NB4 Cell Differentiation in Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To investigate the expression profile of IL‐6 in patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) and its role in modulating the ability of hPMSCs to regulate the differentiation of NB4 cells. Methods Peripheral blood samples were obtained from newly diagnosed APL patients and healthy controls.

Deep Mutational Scanning for the Study and Engineering of Protein Assemblies

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
This review explores how deep mutational scanning (DMS) can be used to improve understanding and accelerate engineering of protein assemblies, from natural fibers to engineered nanocages. We discuss various types of protein assemblies and their characterization, provide an introduction to the DMS technique, and then highlight examples in which DMS has ...

Reproducible Ozaki‐Based Matrix Multiplication on Photonic Matrix Processors With Algorithm‐Based Fault Tolerance

open access: yesConcurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, Volume 38, Issue 16, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Photonic matrix processors are attracting attention in applications such as AI inference due to their low‐power and low‐latency properties. However, their applicability has been largely limited to low‐precision computation due to inherent stochastic analog noise and device non‐idealities.

Study on Analysis of Dispersion for TDM‐GPON System With Different Parameters

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
The workflow and simulated outcomes of a 32‐user bidirectional TDM‐GPON system simulated in OptiSystem 19 to evaluate the effects of optical fiber dispersion under various data rates, fiber lengths, and dispersion levels are shown in the graphical abstract.
