A silica (SiO2)/nanographene oxide (nGO) nanocomposite decorated with Au@Ag nanoparticles (SGO@Au@Ag NPs) was developed as a highly sensitive SERS tag. The nanocomposite exhibits SERS signal enhancement by combining electromagnetic hot spots generated by Au@Ag NPs with the functional advantages of GO.
