Analytical Investigation of 8-Channel Optical Wavelength Division Multiplexing Communication System [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2010
In this paper, the theoretical 8-channel Dense Wave Division Multiplexing(DWDM) telecommunication system is demonstrated. Laser Diode (LD) sourcewas used for each channel, with external modulator, therefore making the systemwork at high bit rate.

Photon Avalanching Nanoparticles: The Next Generation of Upconverting Nanomaterials?

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Perspective outlines the mechanistic foundations that enable photon‐avalanche (PA) behavior in lanthanide nanomaterials and contrasts them with emerging application spaces and forward‐looking design strategies. By bridging threshold engineering, energy‐transfer dynamics, and materials engineering, we provide a coherent roadmap for advancing the ...

Label‐Free SERS Fingerprinting of Neuroprotein Conformational Dynamics in Human Saliva

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Galvanic molecular entrapment (GME) is a label‐free method for detecting and quantifying neuroprotein conformational states. This technique enables direct surface binding and in situ hotspot generation around molecules, effectively overcoming challenges related to target localization and mismatched hotspot geometries.
