Wavelet Analysis of Electrocardiograms

Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 2018
Some electrocardiograms, e.g. electrocardiograms recorded in patients with atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction, or receiving some medications, contain waves of small amplitude. Despite low amplitude, these waves can significantly affect correct identification of the pathological process and diagnosis.

Wavelet Analysis for Audiologists

Australian and New Zealand Journal of Audiology, 2002
Wavelets and wavelet analysis represent a significant advance in our ability to record and analyse auditory evoked potentials (AEPs). Obtaining knowledge about this growing area can be difficult, however, as existing wavelet reviews are typically entrenched in mathematical theory.

Wavelets and Mallat's Multiresolution Analysis

Fundamenta Informaticae, 1998
We present a simple proof of Mallat's theorem about wavelet and multiresolution analysis. We do not use Fourier transform and the proof is accesible even for younger undergraduate students.

A WAVELET ANALYSIS TOOLBOX FOR EXCEL

International Journal of Wavelets, Multiresolution and Information Processing, 2005
This paper presents an implementation of a wavelet analysis toolbox and its integration within Excel. The toolbox includes the discrete wavelet transform, inverse wavelet transform, wavelet-based de-noising, and an associated plotting utility. The transforms and the de-noising algorithms were implemented in a DLL using C++ while the user interfaces ...

ANALYSIS OF TIME SERIES WITH WAVELETS

International Journal of Wavelets, Multiresolution and Information Processing, 2007
A financial time series analysis method based on the theory of wavelets is proposed. It is based on the transformation of data of the series in the corresponding wavelet coefficients and in the analysis of the latter, which represent the local characteristics of the series better. In particular, an algorithm for short term previsions is defined.

Wavelets

1995
Abstract Wavelets analysis--a new and rapidly growing field of research--has been applied to a wide range of endeavors, from signal data analysis (geoprospection, speech recognition, and singularity detection) to data compression (image and voice-signals) to pure mathematics. Written in an accessible, user-friendly style, Wavelets: An

Wavelet Analysis of ADC errors

2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2014
Wavelet Analysis is a promising signal processing method currently used in many applications. In this work, it is used to detect and visualize ADC errors obtained from real prototype measurement data of a 14-bit SAR ADC. Both Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) and Multi-Rate Analysis (MRA) methods are examined and their relation with Short Time Fourier

Wavelet applications to structural analysis

Proceedings of ICASSP '94. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
The impulse response of simple structures can be modelled as a time-scale process; i.e. the response consists of components that exhibit a constant time-bandwidth product. This property suggests that the response of these structures to any finite bandwidth excitation will be a time-scale process.

Wavelet Analysis of P3a and P3b

Brain Topography, 2001
Target/standard discrimination difficulty and the degree of stimulus "novelty" were manipulated systematically in a three-stimulus odd-ball task to assess how these variables affect target and non-target P300 scalp distributions for visual stimuli. Wavelet transformation (WT) analyses were performed on the non-target (P3a) and target (P3b) ERPs to ...
