Wax deposition, occurring when temperature drops or composition changes, has been a great concern in petroleum industry. The precipitated wax usually deposits on the inner surface of pipelines or operating units, and causes severe problems in petroleum ...

EFFECT OF USING SOME ESSENTIAL OILS INSTEAD OF FUNGICIDES IN WAX ON THE STORABILITY OF "VALENCIA" ORANGE FRUITS [PDF]
This study was performed during 2005 and 2006 seasons. "Valencia" orange fruits treated with various treatments [dipping for 10 sec in (1) wax; (2) wax + Eucalyptus oil 1%; (3) wax + Eucalyptus oil 2%; (4) wax + Peppermint oil 0.5%; (5) wax + Peppermint

Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Wax Precipitation and Deposition Risk: Issues on Ethics and Professionalism
The deposition of wax on pipelines causes problems that affect the oil production rate and the facilities. Several preventive and control measures were employed to manage this problem.

Formation damage induced by wax deposition: laboratory investigations and modeling
There are oil fields, wherein favorable conditions for the formation damage induced by wax deposition are created during production. The damage can be expressed by a decrease in porosity and permeability and a reduction in the drainage area.

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

How Do Methane, Carbon Dioxide or Fatty Acids Affect Waxy Crude Oils?
In the oil and gas industry, wax formation and deposition are common problems, particularly during production and transportation. To better understand the expected behaviour of a given waxy crude oil and consequently select the best solution to prevent ...

We show that emergence of castration‐resistant prostate (CRPC) is associated with significant upregulation of cyclins that positively regulate cyclin‐dependent kinase 2 (CDK2) and concomitant downregulation of CDK4 cyclins. This renders CRPC cells dependent on the high activity of CDK2, and CDK2 inhibitors synergistically sensitize CRPC cells to both ...
