The W-weighted m-weak group MP inverse and its applications
We extend the concept of the [Formula: see text]-weak group MP inverse of a square matrix to a rectangular matrix, called the [Formula: see text]-weighted [Formula: see text]-weak group MP inverse, which also unifies the [Formula: see text]-weighted weak core inverse and [Formula: see text]-weighted DMP inverse.

In situ synchrotron high‐energy X‐ray diffraction reveals the real‐time high‐temperature phase evolution of a ternary V‐9Si‐6.5B alloy. The study uncovers a kinetically delayed V5SiB2 → V8SiB4 transformation governed by massive structural and chemical barriers.

On the impact of transport model errors for the estimation of CO2 surface fluxes from GOSAT observations [PDF]
A series of observing system simulation experiments is presented in which column averaged dry air mole fractions of CO2 (X-CO2) from the Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite (GOSAT) are made consistent or not with the transport model embedded in a flux ...

During creep of a single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloy, the overall crystal orientation is observed to remain constant while the microstructure evolves. Despite the lack of macroscopic rotation, small (<1°) rotations are observed on the submicron size scale and are accommodated by counteracting rotations over the scale of several micrometers.

Further characterizations of $m$-weak group inverses in a proper $\ast$-ring
Let $R$ be a proper $\ast$-ring, $a,b\in R$ and $m\in \mathbb{N}$. It is proved that $a$ is $m$-weak group invertible if and only if $a$ is right hybrid $(a^k,(a^k)^*a^m)$-invertible for some $k\in \mathbb{N}^+$. Several new characterizations of $m$-weak group inverses are presented by means of right ideal and right annihilator.

Enhancing ultrasound transmission through an aberration layer exhibiting mismatched impedance with the surrounding medium possesses great implications in imaging and treatment. In this study, we show that a space‐coiling acoustic metamaterial with judiciously tailored structural profile can help improve impedance matching.

Conditional Symmetries and Riemann Invariants for Hyperbolic Systems of PDEs [PDF]
This paper contains an analysis of rank-k solutions in terms of Riemann invariants, obtained from interrelations between two concepts, that of the symmetry reduction method and of the generalized method of characteristics for first order quasilinear ...
