Robust LHC Higgs Search in Weak Boson Fusion
We demonstrate that an LHC Higgs search in weak boson fusion production with subsequent decay to weak boson pairs is robust against extensions of the Standard Model or MSSM involving a large number of Higgs doublets. We also show that the transverse mass

Comparing Dense Galaxy Cluster Redshift Surveys with Weak Lensing Maps [PDF]
We use dense redshift surveys of nine galaxy clusters at $z\sim0.2$ to compare the galaxy distribution in each system with the projected matter distribution from weak lensing.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

CMB lensing reconstruction with point source masks
An incomplete sky coverage poses difficulties in the extraction of the weak lensing information from the CMB. We test the reconstruction of the weak lensing convergence from CMB maps to which masks of point sources have been applied. We use the quadratic

Mixed top-bottom squark production at the LHC [PDF]
We calculate cross sections for mixed stop-sbottom pair production at the LHC, analogous to single-top production, a weak process involving the W-t(i)-b(j) vertex.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

A New Proposed GPS Satellite Signals Acquisition Algorithm Based on the Fast Fourier Transform [PDF]
Due to the Doppler Effect caused by the high line-of-sight velocity of satellites and in some cases receivers, the frequency of the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites signals at the receivers’ level will be transformed into new ones. In the worst

In the radar array signal processing direction of arrival (DOA), the estimation of weak non-stationary signal is an important and difficult problem when both strong and weak signals are coexisting particularly because the weak non-stationary signals are ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
