A New Chaotic Weak Signal Detection Method Based on a Simplified Fractional-Order Genesio–Tesi Chaotic System

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
The detection of weak signals is a well-established application in chaos theory. This theory leverages the inherent robustness of chaotic systems, enabling them to resist noise and thus serve as effective tools for identifying weak signals.

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Blind separation of asymmetric PCMA signal based on soft information joint correction

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2017
On the basis of a blind separation structure with low complexity,an efficient blind separation algorithm based on soft information joint correction was proposed for asymmetric PCMA to improve the demodulation performance of strong and weak signals.By ...

A Novel Blind Source Separation Algorithm and Performance Analysis of Weak Signal against Strong Interference in Passive Radar Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2016
In Passive Radar System, obtaining the mixed weak object signal against the super power signal (jamming) is still a challenging task. In this paper, a novel framework based on Passive Radar System is designed for weak object signal separation.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Reducing Uncertainty of Weak Supervised Signals via Mutual Information Techniques

open access: yesIEEE Access
Weakly supervised learning (WSL) refers to training models using imperfect or noisy labels, which can significantly reduce the costs associated with manual labeling.
