The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Weak values and the past of a quantum particle

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2023
We investigate four key issues with using a nonzero weak value of the spatial projection operator to infer the past path of an individual quantum particle.

A Robust Interferometry Against Imperfections Base on Weak Value Amplification

open access: yes, 2018
The optical interferometry has been widely used in various high precision applications. Usually, the minimum precision of an interferometry is limited by various technique noises in practice.

Weak Value and Weak Measurements

open access: yes, 2009
The weak value of a variable O is a description of an effective interaction with that variable in the limit of weak coupling. It is particularly important for a pre- and post-selected quantum system.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Dimension-independent weak value estimation via controlled SWAP operations

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Weak values of quantum observables are a powerful tool for investigating quantum phenomena. Some methods for measuring weak values in the laboratory require weak interactions and postselection, while others are deterministic, but require statistics over ...

Ultrasensitive inverse weak-value tilt meter

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2017
We present an interferometric technique for measuring ultra-small tilts. The information of a tilt in one of the mirrors of a modified Sagnac interferometer is carried by the phase difference between the counter propagating laser beams. Using a small misalignment of the interferometer, orthogonal to the plane of the tilt, a bimodal (or two-fringe ...

Charge Sensing Amplification via Weak Values Measurement [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2011
A protocol employing weak values (WVs) to obtain ultra sensitive amplification of weak signals in the context of a solid state setup is proposed. We consider an Aharonov-Bohm interferometer where both the orbital and the spin degrees of freedom are weakly affected by the presence of an external charge to be detected.
