Practical Advantages of Almost-Balanced-Weak-Values Metrological Techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Precision measurements of ultra-small linear velocities of one of the mirrors in a Michelson interferometer are performed using two different weak-values techniques.

Weak-value amplification as an optimal metrological protocol [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2015
The implementation of weak-value amplification requires the pre- and post-selection of states of a quantum system, followed by the observation of the response of the meter, which interacts weakly with the system. Data acquisition from the meter is conditioned to successful post-selection events.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Non-Gaussian state preparation and enhancement using weak-value amplification

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information
We introduce a protocol for generating non-Gaussian (nG) states via postselected weak measurement. The scheme involves injecting an arbitrary quantum state and a single photon into the signal and idler ports of an interferometer with a third-order ...

The power of a control qubit in weak measurements

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
In the late 80 s, a curious effect suggested by Aharanov et al. was found to lead to an anomalous amplification based on quantum measurements of weakly coupled systems.

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Local Site Effects Evaluation Using Microtremor Measurements at North Side of Pandan Mountain

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Theories and Applications, 2017
Disaster mitigation has been undertaken to reduce the impact of loss or damage caused by the earthquake. For disaster mitigation purpose, it is necessary to conduct a local geological assessment.

Label-free rapid identification of cooked meat using MIP-quantum weak measurement

open access: yesFood and Agricultural Immunology, 2020
A label-free and rapid detection of cooked rat meat-based molecular-imprinted polymer (MIP) conjugated with quantum weak measurement system (QWM) has been developed.

Signal amplification in a qubit-resonator system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We study the dynamics of a qubit-resonator system, when the resonator is driven by two signals. The interaction of the qubit with the high-amplitude driving we consider in terms of the qubit dressed states.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.
