Investigating the Effects of the Interaction Intensity in a Weak Measurement
Measurements are crucial in quantum mechanics, for fundamental research as well as for applicative fields like quantum metrology, quantum-enhanced measurements and other quantum technologies.

Weak-value amplification and optimal parameter estimation in the presence of correlated noise [PDF]
We analytically and numerically investigate the performance of weak-value amplification (WVA) and related parameter estimation methods in the presence of temporally correlated noise.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

A chemical reaction is a process that leads to the chemical transformation of one set of chemical substances to another. However, the precise and real-time detection of the reaction rate remains challenging due to its fast and dynamical process.

SATB2 and MDM2 Immunoexpression and Diagnostic Role in Primary Osteosarcomas of the Jaw
Primary osteosarcomas of the jaw (OSJ) are rare, accounting for 6% of all osteosarcomas. This study aims to determine the value of SATB2 and MDM2 immunohistochemistry (IHC) in differentiating OSJ from other jawbone mimickers, such as benign fibro-osseous

This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

A measurement of an observable A performed on a quantum system that is initially prepared in a state ρi, followed by a probabilistic procedure that leaves the system in a final state ρf, a process often referred as state postselection (or filtering ...

When Amplification with Weak Values Fails to Suppress Technical Noise
The application of postselection to a weak quantum measurement leads to the phenomenon of weak values. Expressed in units of the measurement strength, the displacement of a quantum coherent measuring device is ordinarily bounded by the eigenspectrum of ...

APPLICATION OF NUCLEIC ACID AMPLIFICATION TESTS IN MANAGING COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Background. COVID-19 pandemic highlighted an importance of sensitive and specific tests that would be cost-efficient, fast and scalable. There are more than 200 COVID-19 detection tests available worldwide, with every country developing own assays ...
