Housing and capital in the 21st Century [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Thomas Piketty’s Capital in the 21st Century has attracted public, policy and academic attention. Although there is a growing research literature on the formation, distribution, utilization and wider implications of housing wealth there has been little ...

Dynamic Covalent Networks of Molecular Clusters for Hard and Impact‐Resistant Glass with Feasible Processability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Molecular granular material glass is fabricated by crosslinking sub‐nm POSS clusters with dynamic borate ester bonding while the materials combine high transparency, modulus, and hardness with superior impact resistance and (re)processability, offering a promising strategy for creating robust yet highly processable organic glasses.

A Post Keynesian Model of Growth and Wealth Distribution: Government’s Optimal Tax Choice Using an Intertemporal Infinitely Representative Agent

open access: yesRevista de Economia Mackenzie, 2009
The article evaluates how a post Keynesian model of growth and wealth distribution in the line of Kaldor-Pasinetti can be extended using an infinitely lived representative agent of the type of Ramsey (1928).

Correlation between Risk Aversion and Wealth distribution

open access: yes, 2003
Different models of capital exchange among economic agents have been proposed recently trying to explain the emergence of Pareto's wealth power law distribution. One important factor to be considered is the existence of risk aversion.

WEALTH AND INCOME DISTRIBUTION:

open access: yes, 2018
Abstract At the center of traditional analyses of inequality was the distribution of income between capital and labor, with little attention paid to the distribution of income among individuals. Theories constructed in the middle of the twentieth century were designed to explain a set of stylized facts describing the macroeconomy ...

WS2 Optoelectronic Memristive Reservoir Enabling Ultra‐Low‐Power, Multi‐Task, and Environmentally Stable Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
WS2‐based in‐memory sensing reservoir computing integrates sensing, memory, and computation in one compact device. It achieves ∼94% N‐MNIST, ∼93% eye motion perception, and ∼89% speech recognition with ultra‐low energy (∼25.5 fJ/spike). The system shows stability at 95% humidity, endurance over 1.5M cycles, and supports synaptic plasticity, enabling ...

One‐Dimensional RuIrTe Nanotubes with Amorphous Surface as a Highly Active and Stable Electrocatalyst Toward Oxygen Evolution Reaction in Acidic Media

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rational etching‐induced reconstruction strategy is demonstrated to fabricate one‐dimensional RuIrTe ternary nanotubes with a unique amorphous‐crystalline heterostructure. This hierarchical architecture synergistically optimizes mass transport and electronic configurations, delivering record‐breaking performance in proton exchange membrane water ...

Exceptional Antimodes in Multi‐Drive Cavity Magnonics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Driven‐dissipative cavity‐magnonics provides a flexible platform for engineering non‐Hermitian physics such as exceptional points. Here, using a four‐port, three‐mode system with controllable microwave interference, antimodes and coherent perfect extinction (CPE) are realized, enabling active tuning to antimode exceptional points.

Boltzmann legacy and wealth distribution

open access: yes, 2010
We briefly review results on nonlinear kinetic equation of Boltzmann type which describe the evolution of wealth in a simple agents market. The mathematical structure of the underlying kinetic equations allows to use well-known techniques of wide use in ...
