From Waste to Wealth: A Review of Eutectic Molten Salt Method for Direct Regeneration of Spent Lithium‐Ion Battery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The main process of the eutectic molten salt method and the direct regeneration of Spent lithium (Li)‐ion batteries by the eutectic molten salt method have brought structural, performance, environmental, and economic benefits. Abstract The rapid growth of electric vehicles (EVs) has significantly increased the demand for lithium (Li)‐ion batteries ...

Highly Oriented Bio‐Mimetic Hydrogels by Calendering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A facile and scalable organogel‐assisted calendering strategy is proposed to prepare bio‐mimetic anisotropic polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogels. By employing a combination of shearing and annealing during calendering, PVA chains are aligned in the calendering direction, while the compression in thickness facilitates the formation of a nacre‐like ...

GmSop20 Functions as a Key Coordinator of the Oil‐To‐Protein Ratio in Soybean Seeds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the seed oil‐to‐protein ratio as a comprehensive quality metric and identifies GmSop20 as a crucial regulatory gene through forward genetics methodologies. By integrating GmSop20 with superior haplotypes and using gene editing/overexpression, new strategies are provided for precisely tuning the seed oil‐to‐protein ratio, thereby

Ultra‐Low Hysteresis Under Large Deformation Enabled by Fast Chains Relaxation in Highly Competitive Dynamic Hydrogen Bond Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that incorporating deep eutectic solvent (DES) components tunes the relaxation dynamics of strong hydrogen bonds between polymer segments, rendering them mechanically “invisible” during service conditions (low hysteresis: <3%).
