Genomics Insights Into High‐Latitude Adaptation of Tibetan Macaques

Tibetan macaques exhibit unique adaptations to cold, high‐latitude environments, including shortened tails and enhanced fat storage. Genomic analyses reveal a species‐specific TBX6 mutation linked to tail reduction and selection on lipid metabolism genes.

Microglial HVCN1 Deficiency Improves Movement and Survival of SOD1G93A ALS Mice by Enhancing Microglial Migration and Neuroprotection

Hydrogen voltage gated channel 1 (HVCN1) is upregulated in microglia of both ALS patients and its mouse model. HVCN1 deficiency enhances microglial migration via suppressing Akt signaling, promotes neurotrophic capacity and motor function, and prolongs survival of the SOD1G93A ALS mice. Dual genetic strategies for improving wheat processing quality by regulating purothionin accumulation to modulate gluten quantity and quality. The first strategy involves targeting signal peptide (SP) cleavage sites (e.g., through mutation) to indirectly reduce gluten content, thereby disrupting gluten network formation.

CLinNET: An Interpretable and Uncertainty‐Aware Deep Learning Framework for Multi‐Modal Clinical Genomics

Identifying disease‐causing genes in neurocognitive disorders remains challenging due to variants of uncertain significance. CLinNET employs dual‐branch neural networks integrating Reactome pathways and Gene Ontology terms to provide pathway‐level interpretability of genomic alterations.

Host‐Directed Antiviral Activity of SB2960 Through Selective Induction and Remodeling of Stress Granules

Amid the ongoing threat of emerging viral pathogens, host‐directed antivirals offer a strategy to overcome viral mutation and drug resistance. SB2960, a small‐molecule inducer of stress granules (SGs), exhibits potent broad‐spectrum antiviral activity with minimal cytotoxicity.
