Angstrom‐Scale Confined Ion Sieve and Accelerator for Efficient Aqueous Zinc Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An angstrom‐scale confined ion accelerator strategy is proposed for ultra‐stable aqueous Zn anodes. Selective and precise transport of hydrated Zn(H2O)62+, Zn2+ cations, H2O molecules, and SO42− anions is achieved by in‐plane atomic Ti vacancies and angstrom‐scale interlayer free spacing within the Ti0.87O2 interfacial layer, leading to homogeneous Zn ...

A fuzzy approach to e-banking website quality assessment based on an integrated AHP-ELECTRE method / E-Bankininkystės tinklapių kokybės vertinimas paremtas integruotu neapibrežtųjų aibių ahp-electre metodu

open access: yesTechnological and Economic Development of Economy, 2011
Given the lack of physical constraints of retail banking; attraction, satisfaction, and retention of customers in e-banking mostly depend on the quality of service delivered by the website.

Hydrophobic 1D and 3D Anodic Alumina Radiative Coolers on Aluminum: Humidity‐Resilient Daytime Sub‐Ambient Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
1D and 3D nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) surfaces were functionalized with stearic acid (STA) to increase hydrophobicity and reduce the influence of humidity on radiative cooling performance. The STA coating improves cooling behavior under humid atmospheric conditions (Madrid summer), before while keeping the optical properties required for ...

Automated Assessment of the Quality of Depression Websites

open access: yesJournal of Medical Internet Research, 2005
Since health information on the World Wide Web is of variable quality, methods are needed to assist consumers to identify health websites containing evidence-based information. Manual assessment tools may assist consumers to evaluate the quality of sites. However, these tools are poorly validated and often impractical. There is a need to develop better

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Quality of websites: kitemarking the west wind

open access: yesBMJ, 2000
“There's a lot of harmful medical information on the internet. Something needs to be done.” The obvious solution is to provide users with some sort of quality rating, guaranteed by a trusted third party. 1 2 Bodies as diverse as the European Union and NHS Direct Online are attracted to this solution to their problems of protecting the public health ...

Modulation of miR‐23b Wnt/β‐catenin Axis Strengthens Endothelial Barrier Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Early blood‐brain barrier (BBB) disruption contributes to stroke and CNS disease pathology. miR‐23b was identified as a regulator of BBB integrity in brain endothelial cells. Inhibition of miR‐23b enhanced barrier‐associated properties, promoted repair‐related signaling, and reduced BBB leakage in experimental stroke models, supporting further ...

m6A‐Mediated Glycolysis by IL‐37 Drives T Cell Metabolic Reprogramming to Regulate Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies an IL‐37/SIGIRR‐METTL14 regulatory axis that suppresses global m6A modification in CD4+ T cells. IL‐37 signaling, mediated through SIGIRR, inhibits IRAK4 and JNK phosphorylation, leading to downregulation of the methyltransferase METTL14.
