The Energy Processing by Power Electronics and its Impact on Power Quality [PDF]
This paper discusses the electrical architectures adopted in wind turbines and its impact on the harmonic flux at the connected electric network. The integration of wind electric generators with the power grid needs energy processing by power electronics.

Alternative Developmental Toxicity Screening Methods Using Chick Embryo‐Based Models
ABSTRACT Nonclinical developmental toxicity studies are used to investigate the potential toxicities of drugs and chemical candidates on normal embryonic and fetal development during pregnancy, generally using mammalian laboratory animals such as rats and rabbits.

Intelligent controller based WECS fed unified power flow conditioner for PQ enhancement
The dominance of non-linear loads, sustainable energy sources and power electronic devices in modern power system has in turn compromised the system stability by introducing numerous power quality (PQ) issues.

Using time‐series remote sensing to identify and track individual bird nests at large scales
Time‐series airborne imagery can potentially track individuals over time to collect information beyond one‐off counts. Using weekly UAS‐based imagery of wading bird colonies, we develop an automated approach to identifying nests. Our algorithmic approach detected 68–74% of known nests and exhibited similar performance to human review of imagery ...

Sensorless double integral sliding mode MPPT control for the WECS
In this paper, a double integrator sliding mode controller (DISMC) via the mechanical sensorless maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method is suggested to extract maximum power from a wind energy conversion system (WECS).
