Buckling of Wool Weft-Knitted Fabrics

Textile Research Journal, 1973
This investigation was confined to buckling tests on wool weft-knitted fabrics. A mounting device has been constructed to allow buckling tests on plain, rib and interlock knitted structures to be carried out on an Instron tester. Preliminary results of the buckling test method are given here.

Cam Forces in Weft Knitting

Textile Research Journal, 1968
A technique is described for assessing tension in the yarn during knitting by measuring the needle-butt reaction forces on the cam. Results are given which illus trate the first-order effects of the major knitting variables. Two extremes of cam shape were investigated and it was found that a flat-bottom stitch cam gave rise to a ...

Polydioxanone Weft-Knitted Intestinal Stents

2015
In the case of patients with intestinal cancers, intestinal blockage and stenosis have been noticed in clinical conditions [1]. Investigations have shown that stents can alleviate intestinal obstruction and stenosis [2, 3]. For over thirty years, the metal stents have been used for the treatment of the obstruction and stenosis of bowel and vessels [4].

Dimensional Analysis in Weft Knitting

Magyar textiltechnika, 1996
It is the purpose of this paper to indicate to knitters how to minimize a lot of measurement in a knitting experiment and how the dimensional analysis can be of assistance in experimental investigation by reducing the number of knitting variables.
