Fokker-Planck Asymptotics for Traffic Flow Models
Starting from microscopic interaction rules we derive kinetic models of Fokker--Planck type for vehicular traffic flow. The derivation is based on taking a suitable asymptotic limit of the corresponding Boltzmann model.

Strategic litigation as a challenge for deliberative democracy
Abstract Strategic litigation is a growing public concern, but remains understudied in democratic theory. In strategic litigation, collectives go to court with a political agenda that goes beyond their specific case. How should we assess the legitimacy of strategic litigation? Adapting to Change: The Dynamic Crop Production Systems of Smallholder Farmers in the PNG Highlands
ABSTRACT Smallholder sweet potato farmers in Papua New Guinea's Eastern Highlands Province (EHP) face challenges as they navigate social, economic, demographic, and environmental change. While they routinely adapt to weather variability and shifting markets, population growth is placing additional strain on an already finely balanced farming system ...

Optical metamaterials with different metals
We investigate the influence of different metals on the electromagnetic response of fishnet metamaterials in the optical regime. We found, instead of using a Drude model, metals with a dielectric function from experimentally measured data should be ...

Manager‐initiated unlearning: A study of intellectual property departments in Japanese firms
Abstract Previous studies have emphasized that individuals play important roles in facilitating organizational unlearning; however, little is known about how leadership promotes organizational unlearning. From the perspective of routine dynamics, this study explores the effects of managers' behaviors on unlearning at the department level.
