Highly D‑efficient Weighing Design and Its Construction

open access: yesActa Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Oeconomica, 2017
In this paper, some aspects of design optimality on the basis of spring balance weighing designs are considered. The properties of D‑optimal and D‑efficiency designs are studied.

Circulant weighing designs

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Designs, 1996
Summary: Algebraic techniques are employed to obtain necessary conditions for the existence of certain families of circulant weighing designs. As an application we rule out the existence of many circulant weighing designs. In particular, we show that there does not exist a circulant weighing matrix of order 43 for any weight.

High Accuracy Weigh-In-Motion Systems for Direct Enforcement

open access: yesSensors, 2021
In many countries, work is being conducted to introduce Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) systems intended for continuous and automatic control of gross vehicle weight. Such systems are also called WIM systems for direct enforcement (e-WIM).

Singular Weighing Designs

open access: yesThe Annals of Mathematical Statistics, 1964
Suppose we are given $p$ objects to be weighed in $N$ weighings with a chemical balance having no bias. Let $X = (x_{ij})$ be the weighing design matrix, where $x_{ij} = + 1$ or $-1$ if the $j$th object is included in the $i$th weighing by being placed respectively in the left or right hand pan, and $x_{ij} = 0$ if the $j$th object is not weighed in ...

DESIGN OF A REAL-TIME WEIGHING SYSTEM FOR SEED BOX ALLOWANCE [PDF]

open access: yesEngenharia Agrícola
We focus here on the problem of poor real-time performance and low accuracy of seed box allowance detection during wheat sowing operations, and present a real-time weighing system for a seed box allowance.
