Barriers to Care for Pediatric Patients with Obesity
This review article emphasizes the challenges pediatric patients face during obesity treatment. Prior research has been compartmentalized, acknowledging that stigma, the ability to implement lifestyle changes, social health determinants, and healthcare ...

Weighted shifts with periodic weight sequences
Let {fl(n) n Z} be a sequence of positive numbers with/3(0) 1 and sup{fl(n + 1)/fl(n) n Z} < . We then define the Hilbert space L2(fl) by L2(fl) L2(Z, f12). We denotef L2(fl) byf E= f(n)z with the summand f(n)z indicatin that f(n) is the n-th term of the sequence. Thus we have Ilfll :=- [f(n)12(fl(n))2. We also use z 1.

Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

Irreducible weight modules over Witt algebras with infinite dimensional weight spaces [PDF]
Let $d>1$ be an integer. In 1986, Shen defined a class of weight modules $F^\alpha_b(V)$ over the Witt algebra $\mathcal{W}_d$ for $\a\in\C^d$, $b\in\C$, and an irreducible module $ V$ over the special linear Lie algebra $\sl_d$.

Wernicke Encephalopathy After Sleeve Gastrectomy
We present a case of Wernicke encephalopathy after sleeve gastrectomy. The patient exhibited spontaneous upbeat nystagmus and gaze-evoked nystagmus during an ophthalmologic examination, as shown in the accompanying video.

Weight structures and “weights” on the hearts of $t$-structures [PDF]
We define and study transversal weight and $t$-structures (for triangulated categories); if a weight structure is transversal to a $t$-one, then it defines certain 'weights' for its heart. Our results axiomatize and describe in detail the relations between the Chow weight structure $w_{Chow}$ for Voevodsky's motives (introduced in a preceding paper ...

Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

Adherence to Weight Control Techniques and Weight Loss: A Case Study [PDF]
A multiple baseline design across four behaviors was used to assess the effectiveness of a self-monitoring behavioral weight reduction program. The four behaviors were (1) the number of arm lifts used to direct food and liquid, other than water, into the

This study highlights the importance of multi‐omic analyses in characterizing colorectal cancers. Indeed, our analysis revealed a rare CMS1 exhibiting dampened immune activation, including reduced PD‐1 expression, moderate CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, and suppressed JAK/STAT pathway.
