PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

On Bayesian nonparametric modelling of two correlated distributions [PDF]
In this paper, we consider the problem of modelling a pair of related distributions using Bayesian nonparametric methods. A representation of the distributions as weighted sums of distributions is derived through normalisation.

A comprehensive weighted evolving network model
Many social, technological, biological, and economical systems are best described by weighted networks, whose properties and dynamics depend not only on their structures but also on the connection weights among their nodes.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Properties of weighted complex networks
We study two kinds of weighted networks, weighted small-world (WSW) and weighted scale-free (WSF). The weight $w_{ij}$ of a link between nodes $i$ and $j$ in the network is defined as the product of endpoint node degrees; that is $w_{ij}=(k_{i}k_{j ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Hypothesis Testing in Weighted Distributions
There are many situations in which experiments are not available or data are recorded from the population proportion to a nonnegative function called weight function. In a such situations the classical methods for inferencing about unknown parameters

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Poly-Weighted Exponentiated Gamma Distribution with Application
This paper proposes a weighting of the exponentiated gamma distribution with a polynomial function called the poly-weighted exponentiated gamma distribution (PWEGD).

Statistics of weighted brain networks reveal hierarchical organization and Gaussian degree distribution. [PDF]
Whole brain weighted connectivity networks were extracted from high resolution diffusion MRI data of 14 healthy volunteers. A statistically robust technique was proposed for the removal of questionable connections.
