Multivariate Information Measures: A Copula-based Approach

open access: yes
Multivariate datasets are common in various real-world applications. Recently, copulas have received significant attention for modeling dependencies among random variables.

Further Results Involving Residual and Past Extropy with their Applications

open access: yes
In this paper we focus on the study of the monotonicity properties of the residual and the past extropy as well as on some characterization problems. We then apply the derived results to analyze further stochastic aspects of order statistics, coherent ...

R\'enyi entropy, R\'enyi divergence and Jensen-R\'enyi information generating functions, and associated properties and estimation

open access: yes
In this paper, we propose R\'enyi information generating function (RIGF) and discuss its various properties. The relation between the RIGF and Shannon entropy of order $q>0$ is established. Several bounds are obtained.

Weighted extropies and past extropy of order statistics and k -record values

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2021
In addition to entropy, extropy - the complementary dual of entropy has also gained importance as a measure of information in many areas.

Bivariate Extension of Weighted Dynamic Survival Extropy and Its Quantile Approach

International Journal of Reliability, Quality and Safety Engineering, 2023
This paper considers shift-dependent survival extropy in a bivariate setup and studies its properties. We also look into the problem of extending the same measure for conditionally specified models. It is shown that the proposed measure uniquely determines the distribution.

A study on weighted dynamic survival and failure extropies

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2021
In certain applied areas such as reliability and mathematical neurobiology, it is often required to deal with shift-dependent measures of uncertainty.
