Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Assessment of the Intensity and Extent of Climate Change in Various Regions of Iran over the Next Two Decades [PDF]

open access: yesمحیط زیست و توسعه فرابخشی
Introduction: Climate change is one of the most pressing environmental challenges of the modern era, impacting natural resources and human livelihoods through rising temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, and increased frequency of extreme events ...

The Weighted Mean Curvature Derivative of a Space-Filling Diagram

open access: yesComputational and Mathematical Biophysics, 2020
Representing an atom by a solid sphere in 3-dimensional Euclidean space, we get the space-filling diagram of a molecule by taking the union. Molecular dynamics simulates its motion subject to bonds and other forces, including the solvation free energy ...

An approach to non-linear Bayesian forecasting problems with applications [PDF]

open access: yes
This thesis is devoted to the analysis and modelling of time series and it is concentrated on models and techniques which are of practical value. In particular we developed a wide class of non-linear dynamic models which are useful in the handling of ...

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Timing is Everything–Drought Classification for Risk Assessment

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2020
Drought is one of the most severe natural disasters with a high risk for human livelihoods. Remote sensing based drought indices can identify dry periods using, e.g., precipitation or vegetation information.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
