Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Concept Combination in Weighted Logic. [PDF]
We present an algorithm for concept combination inspired and informed by the research in cognitive and experimental psychology. Dealing with concept combination requires, from a symbolic AI perspective, to cope with competitive needs: the need for compositionality and the need to account for typicality effects. Building on our previous work on weighted

Multi-Attribute Decision Making using Weighted Description Logics [PDF]
We introduce a framework based on Description Logics, which can be used to encode and solve decision problems in terms of combining inference services in DL and utility theory to represent preferences of the agent.

We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Aperiodic Weighted Automata and Weighted First-Order Logic
By fundamental results of Schützenberger, McNaughton and Papert from the 1970s, the classes of first-order definable and aperiodic languages coincide. Here, we extend this equivalence to a quantitative setting. For this, weighted automata form a general and widely studied model. We define a suitable notion of a weighted first-order logic.

Unifying probability and logic for learning
Uncertain knowledge can be modeled by using graded probabilities rather than binary truth-values, but so far a completely satisfactory integration of logic and probability has been lacking.

The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Weaving Intelligence: Thermally Drawn Multimaterial Fibers Toward AI‐Enabled Smart Textiles
Thermally drawn multimaterial fibers are rapidly advancing as intelligent structural units for next‐generation smart textiles. Integrating multimaterial architectures with neuromorphic and spiking‐neural‐network principles enables fabrics that can sense, compute, and adapt autonomously.

Characterisation Theorems for Weighted Tree Automaton Models
In this thesis, we investigate different theoretical questions concerning weighted automata models over tree-like input structures. First, we study exact and approximated determinisation and then, we turn to Kleene-like and Büchi-like characterisations ...

Soft Hardware, Flowing Software: Reconfigurable Microfluidics for Adaptable Chemical Computation
A reconfigurable microfluidic platform based on soft, photo‐printable, and chemically erasable hydrogel structures printed and erased in situ is used to control flow routing, mixing, chemical patterning, and even chemical computing. Using hardware to control chemical computations decouples logic function from molecular composition, demonstrated via ...
