EasyTrace: An easily-deployable light-weight IP traceback on an AS-level overlay network
2011 19th IEEE International Conference on Network Protocols, 2011IP traceback can be used to find the origins and paths of attacking traffic. However, so far, no Internet-level IP traceback system has ever been deployed because of deployment difficulties. In this paper, we present an easily-deployable light-weight IP traceback based on flow (EasyTrace).

Strategic asset allocations are based on the longer term view of the assets return and the tactical asset allocation captures the short term views from the market environment. Although numerous studies are conducted on these approaches separately, there are no studies which summarise the results of a combined approach. The studies conducted assume that

Weighted coordinates transformation method for map overlay with non-homogeneous space partition
Computers and Geosciences, 2003Abstract Map overlay is one of the most frequent tasks for research and practical application in fields such as urban planning, surveying, remote sensing, and GIS. Although affine transformation or the Helmert transformation currently used in commercial CAD or GIS software can satisfy some needs of map overlay, inaccurate overlay of the control ...

In this paper, we propose a novel routing protocol, RASTER, that approximates shortest overlay routes between nodes in randomized DHTs. Unlike previously proposed routing protocols, RASTER encodes and aggregates routing information. Its simple bitmap-encoding scheme together with the proposed RASTER routing algorithm enable a performance edge over ...

Weighted Overlay Design for Topic-Based Publish/Subscribe Systems on Geo-Distributed Data Centers
2015 IEEE 35th International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems, 2015We incorporate underlay information into overlay design for topic-based publish/subscribe (pub/sub) systems on geo-distributed data centers. We propose the MinAvg-WTCO problem that optimizes the weighted average node degree while constructing a topic-connected overlay (TCO), i.e., Each topic induces a connected sub-overlay among all nodes interested in

SummaryIn this paper, the problem of hybrid overlay and underlay spectrum access is investigated for OFDM‐based cognitive radio (CR) systems. Both the metrics for system (e.g. capacity) and users (e.g. fairness) are integrated into the unified framework of weighted‐capacity maximization with the interference constraint in CR systems.

ASSESSMENT OF WEIGHTED OVERLAY CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS TOWARDS ROUTE SELECTION IDENTIFICATION
International Journal of Supply Chain, Operation Management and LogisticsFinding the route with the lowest cumulative cost is one of the critical task in utilities management especially in power industries. Selection of the right route is a crucial aspect for identifying the most suitable and low cost path from floating solar photovoltaic system (FSPV) to proposed infrastructure facilities (IF) area that is important to ...

Earthquakes are a natural phenomenon that can cause severe destruction within urban areas. In particular, cascading effects resulting from the earthquake, such as liquefaction, fires, landslides and tsunamis, can increase the resulting damage. In addition, current experience shows that strict building regulations, such as specifications on statics and ...
