On the Mixed Dirichlet–Steklov-Type and Steklov-Type Biharmonic Problems in Weighted Spaces

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications, 2019
We studied the properties of generalized solutions in unbounded domains and the asymptotic behavior of solutions of elliptic boundary value problems at infinity.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Weighted Sobolev Spaces on Curves

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 2002
45 pages, no figures.-- MSC1987 codes: 41A10, 46E35, 46G10. MR#: MR1934626 (2003j:46038) Zbl#: Zbl 1019.46026 In this paper we present a definition of weighted Sobolev spaces on curves and find general conditions under which the spaces are complete for non-closed compact curves. We also prove the density of the polynomials in these spaces and, finally,

Besov Spaces with General Weights

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Study, 2023
Summary: We introduce Besov spaces with general smoothness. These spaces unify and generalize the classical Besov spaces. We establish the \(\varphi\)-transform characterization of these spaces in the sense of \textit{M. Frazier} and \textit{B. Jawerth} [Indiana Univ. Math. J. 34, 777--799 (1985; Zbl 0551.46018); J. Iron homeostasis disruption and lipid peroxidation in skeletal muscle during short‐term immobilization

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
14‐day casting‐induced immobilization reduced gastrocnemius muscle mass and increased non‐heme iron and ferritin heavy chain levels. Despite iron accumulation, transferrin receptor 1 and iron regulatory protein 2 were paradoxically upregulated. Lipid peroxidation was elevated without compensatory antioxidant responses.

Harmonic vibration of cusped plates in the N-th approximation of Vekua’s hierarchical models

open access: yesArchives of Mechanics, 2013
In this paper elastic cusped symmetric prismatic shells (i.e., plates of variable thickness with cusped edges) in the N-th approximation of Vekua’s hierarchical models are considered.

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

The spectra and eigenvectors for the weighted mean matrix operator

open access: yesArab Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2015
In this paper, first we give conditions under which the weighted mean matrix operator is bounded on the weighted Hardy spaces, and we characterize the spectrum of the weighted mean matrix operator acting on some sequence spaces.

Why human connection is the true metric of research success

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...
