Artificial Gravity as a Bone Loss Countermeasure in Simulated Weightlessness
The impact of microgravity on the human body is a significant concern for space travelers. We report here initial results from a pilot study designed to explore the utility of artificial gravity (AG) as a countermeasure to the effects of microgravity, specifically to bone loss.

Abstract Introduction The use of radioactive materials in the United States has been tightly regulated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and other entities for many decades. In 2015, however, the Joint Commission began to require hospital‐based nuclear medicine departments to conduct shielding designs and evaluations for radioactive material areas ...

Abstract Purpose Breast cancer is a neoplastic disease with high prevalence among women. Radiotherapy is one of the principal treatment modalities for this disease, but it poses significant challenges. This study aimed to compare and evaluate the technical and dosimetric performance of conventional C‐arm linac systems and a new design, Halcyon, in the ...

Design and validation of a novel dosimetry phantom for motion management audits
Abstract Background We present a novel phantom design for conducting end‐to‐end dosimetry audits for respiratory motion management of two anatomical treatment sites. The design enables radiochromic film measurements of the dose administered to the target throughout the respiratory cycle (motion‐included) and the dose delivered to the time‐averaged ...

Abstract Objectives Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) is an effective treatment for Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS), but recovery varies between patients. This study aims to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of a single and a second IVIg dose (SID) in patients with GBS.

ABSTRACT Objective Quantitative markers of cortical excitability may help identify responders to anti‐seizure medications (ASMs). We studied the relationship between ASM load and two electroencephalography (EEG) markers of cortical excitability in people with refractory epilepsy. Methods We included individuals with refractory focal epilepsy undergoing
