Predicting Slope Stability Failure through Machine Learning Paradigms
In this study, we employed various machine learning-based techniques in predicting factor of safety against slope failures. Different regression methods namely, multi-layer perceptron (MLP), Gaussian process regression (GPR), multiple linear regression ...

How do forelimb long bones adapt in rhinoceroses? An in‐depth examination of their microanatomy
Here, we study the bone structure in the forelimb long bones of the five extant species of rhinoceroses. By combining traditional description of virtual sections made on the bones (A) with in‐depth cartographies of the variation of bone compactness and anisotropy (B), we show how bone tissue can adapt to extreme forces and constraints in the second ...

Time Distributed Classification of Alzheimer's Disease on MRI Scans
Longitudinal MRI‐derived cortical thickness slopes improved AD/CN discrimination. A time‐distributed 3D ResNet‐101 + LSTM further captured spatiotemporal progression, reaching 96.7% accuracy and also improving MCI‐related classification. ABSTRACT The diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) has progressively depended on sophisticated neuroimaging methods ...

Humanin Mitigates Aβ‐Induced Retinal Pigment Epithelium Injury via AMPK‐Beclin1‐Dependent Mitophagy
Humanin (HN) enhanced the clearance of Aβ‐accumulated mitochondria in the RPE while preserving retinal function and RPE barrier integrity. HN activated AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK), leading to phosphorylation of ULK1 and Beclin1, which promoted the interaction between Beclin1 and Parkin and their translocation to mitochondria.
