Laser‐Textured Field‐Engineered Interface for Robust Dry‐Processed Cathodes in Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Laser‐patterned dry electrodes applied to current collectors could serve as a promising alternative to the limitations of conventional dry electrodes. Laser technology provides a fast and simple method to enhance the surface roughness of current collectors, improving the adhesion at the electrode–current collector interface.

Multifunctional Oleylamine Enables Direct Regeneration of Spent Lithium Iron Phosphate Cathodes through Coupled Lattice and Interface Repair

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A multifunctional oleylamine‐assisted solvothermal strategy is introduced for coupled lattice and interface repair of S‐LFP cathodes. Benefiting from its strongly coordinating amine groups and long hydrophobic alkyl chains, oleylamine simultaneously acts as an intrinsic reductant, defect‐repair mediator, morphology stabilizer, and carbon/nitrogen ...

Seismic Performance of Reduced‐Strength Steel MRFs With SMA‐Based Superelastic Friction Dampers: An Experimental Investigation

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Shape memory alloys (SMAs) exhibit excellent self‐centering capability due to their stress‐induced phase transformation, making them highly suitable for applications in resilient infrastructure. This study investigates the seismic performance of reduced‐strength moment‐resisting frames (MRFs) equipped with SMA‐based superelastic friction ...
