desAIner: Design, Implementation, and Evaluation of an AI Tool for Construction Hazard Prevention Through Design (CHPtD) Education

open access: yesComputer Applications in Engineering Education, Volume 34, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Construction Hazard Prevention through Design (CHPtD) is widely recognized as a proactive strategy for reducing worker risk by addressing hazards during planning and design. However, its integration into architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) education remains limited, leaving many students, who represent the next generation of ...

Multi‐Dimensional Conductive Nanocomposites for Flexible Electronics

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
Multi‐dimensional conductive nanocomposites integrate 0D, 1D, and 2D nanomaterials through spatial structure regulation and interface engineering, achieving “1 + 1 > 2” synergistic effects. By leveraging 0D filling to reduce contact resistance, 1D bridging to construct continuous conductive paths, and 2D supporting to enhance mechanical stability ...

Mechanistic Optimization of Pressure Transmission for Defect Mitigation in Thick‐Walled Aerospace‐Grade Polyetherimide

open access: yesSPE Polymers, Volume 7, Issue 3, July 2026.
Gate freeze time (GFT) controls internal void formation in thick‐walled injection‐molded polyetherimide (PEI). Extending GFT by optimizing cooling time and mold temperature reduces void size from the baseline (large voids) to an optimized condition (voids reduced), as confirmed by ultrasonic C‐scan inspection.

Chemogenetic Stimulation of the Dorsal Motor Nucleus of the Vagus Mitigates Autonomic Dysfunction and Memory Decline in Rat Model of Alzheimer‐Like Disease

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 242, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To test the hypothesis that Alzheimer‐like metabolic neurodegeneration rat model leads to an autonomic dysfunction, memory impairment, and hippocampal amyloid pathology and that long‐term chemogenetic stimulation of the dorsal motor nucleus of the vagus reverses these alterations. Methods Male and female transgenic Long Evans rats received
