Wind Turbine Control for Spatially Varying Turbulence

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 29, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the influence of inflow turbulence generation simulation methods and blade pitch control strategies on the performance and blade structure loading of a large offshore wind turbine. Two inflow representations were considered: synthetic Kaimal turbulence generated in accordance with IEC design standards and large‐eddy ...

A statistical simulation method for causality inference of Boolean variables [PDF]

open access: yesNetwork Biology, 2021
In present study, a statistical simulation method for causality inference of Boolean variables was proposed. First, I used statistical simulation to generate artificial data of two Boolean variables with known independent and dependent variables.

General Synthesis of Amorphous Pd‐Based Nanoparticles Towards Highly Efficient Nitrate‐to‐Ammonia Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 59, 23 July 2026.
A family of amorphous palladium‐based multi‐component phosphides nanoparticles, synthesized via a robust one‐step wet‐chemical method, overcoming the immiscibility of different elements and the difficulty in forming a stable, disordered structure. When applied in the electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction, these nanocatalysts effectively suppress ...

Integrative Taxonomy of Pachygrontha (Heteroptera: Pachygronthidae) in East and Southeast Asia Reveals New Insights Into Species and Group Delimitation

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.
This manuscript presents a comprehensive taxonomic revision of the insect genus Pachygrontha in East and Southeast Asia, addressing the critical need for robust species delimitation in closely related lineages. Our research employs an integrative approach, combining detailed morphological examination with complete mitochondrial genomes and genome‐wide ...

Sympatric Speciation of Tibetan Loaches (Triplophysa) Driven by Dietary Niche Specialization

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.
The sympatric speciation of Tibetan loaches in a semi‐enclosed postglacial lake on the Qinghai‐Tibet Plateau, which is driven by the synergistic mechanism of the gut microbiomes and dietary specialization. ABSTRACT The Qinghai‐Tibeta Plateau is a hotspot for endemic fish biodiversity.

Luteolin Glycoside From Dracocephalum moldavica L. Attenuates COPD by Modulating TLR4 Expression and Alveolar Cross‐Talk

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 4, July 2026.
Luteolin‐7‐O‐β‐d‐glucuronide mitigates CS‐induced COPD progression by promoting cytokine‐mediated functional cross‐talk between alveolar macrophages and epithelial cells. ABSTRACT Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is associated with inflammation of the airway and lung parenchyma with limited airflow due to continued exposure to harmful ...

Cropland Redistribution: A Synergistic Strategy for Boosting Grain Production While Mitigating Soil Erosion

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract China faces significant spatial mismatches between steeply sloped cropland and gently sloped forest and orchard land. Optimizing the spatial distribution of cropland is critical for food security and ecological conservation in China, where cropland resources are scarce.

Suppression of Ciliogenesis Alleviates Cellular Senescence via AKT Signaling in Gingival Aging

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
In human gingival aging, aged gingival fibroblasts show increased senescence with enhanced primary cilia formation. Targeting cilia formation by knocking down IFT88 could reverse fibroblast senescence via the AKT signaling and alleviate periodontal inflammation.

Causality inference of nominal variables: A statistical simulation method [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Ecology and Software, 2021
In present study I proposed a statistical simulation method for causality inference of nominal variables (i.e., categorical variables). A new correlation measure for nominal variables, association coefficient, is firstly proposed also.
