Pilot‐Plant Wet‐Milling Process for Producing Corn Gluten Meal
Cereal Chemistry, 1997ABSTRACTA pilot‐plant wet‐milling process was specially used to produce corn gluten meal (CGM) with a relatively high protein content (49.8% from Pioneer 3394 and 53.7% from Wilson D110). The protein content of the CGM obtained from a starch table in our pilot‐plant procedure was similar to the results obtained by using the hydrocyclone method.

Quality attributes of breads from high‐quality cassava flour improved with wet gluten
Journal of Food Science, 2020Abstract This study investigated the physical, chemical, and sensory attributes of breads produced from preheated high‐quality cassava flour (PCF) and its composite with wheat flour (CWF). Wet gluten was added to the PCF and CWF for production of bread, while bread from wheat served as the

FEEDING VALUE OF WET CORN GLUTEN FEED FOR LACTATING DAIRY COWS
Canadian Journal of Animal Science, 1985In two trials 57 and 44 Holstein cows were used to determine the effect of feeding wet corn gluten feed (CGF) on total dry matter (DM) intake and milk production. Treatments compared were: Trial I, control vs. wet CGF at either 18.6 or 37.1% of ration DM; Trial II, control vs. dried or wet CGF each at 26% of ration DM.

Feeding wet corn gluten feed to reduce subacute acidosis in cattle.
Journal of Animal Science, 1995Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of feeding wet corn gluten feed (WCGF) on subacute acidosis in cattle. In Exp. 1, 60 individually fed yearling steers (270 +/- 22 kg BW) were used in a 5 x 2 factorial arrangement of treatments. Steers were assigned to one of five dietary treatments: 1) dry-rolled corn (DRC), 2) 35% WCGF fed d 1 to

Wet‐milling/Ammonia Process for the Manufacture of Wheat Starch and Gluten
Starch - Stärke, 1996AbstractA laboratory‐scale procedure is proposed for the separation of starch and gluten from wet‐milled wheat. Our purpose was to assess the potential of wheat as a starch crop by optimising starch quality and yield. Features are the rapid steeping by mildly fracturing the wheat grains, the separation of starch from the gluten‐fibre mass in a slurry ...

Odor Reduction in Corn Gluten Feed Drier Emissions by Wet-Scrubbing
Transactions of the ASAE, 1982ABSTRACT COUNTERCURRENT flow packed bed wet scrub-bing was studied for reducing odors in corn gluten feed drier emissions. Various liquid to gas mass flow ratios and scrubbing media were tested. Scrubber per-formance was measured via gas sampling and odor panels using modified ASTM Method D-1391.

Optimization of micro-scale extension tests for wheat dough and wet gluten
Journal of Cereal Science, 2018Abstract Micro-scale extension tests to determine the viscoelastic properties of wheat dough and wet gluten based on 10 g of flour each are useful methods to predict baking performance, but there is no official standard method. The experimental procedure was optimized by varying rest periods and test speeds and the results were evaluated considering ...

ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF WET CORN GLUTEN FEED IN BEEF FEEDLOT FINISHING
1997An economic evaluation of wet corn gluten feed used in beef feedlot finishing was done. Data were from feeding trials at North Dakota State University. Four rations were analyzed at 0 percent, 28 percent, 56 percent, and 85 percent wet corn gluten based on dry matter intake. Data were entered into a computer model that integrated the feeding trial data

Protein Distribution in Gluten Products Isolated During and After Wet‐Milling of Maize Grains
Cereal Chemistry, 1999ABSTRACTThe protein distribution in five gluten samples isolated during and after wet‐milling of maize grains (slurry before and after filtration, total industrial gluten meal, and coarse and fine fractions obtained after sieving) was investigated by sequential extraction. Six fractions (FI‐FVI), including residue, were isolated.

Effect of feeding combinations of wet distillers grains and wet corn gluten feed to feedlot cattle.
Journal of animal science, 2010Three experiments were conducted to evaluate the use of combinations of wet corn gluten feed (WCGF) and wet distillers grain plus solubles (WDGS) in dry-rolled and high-moisture corn-based finishing diets for beef cattle. In Exp. 1, 250 steers (BW = 343 +/- 13.5 kg) were fed 5 treatments consisting of a corn-based, control diet with 0% coproducts, and ...
