Exploration of Collagen as Binder for Aqueous Zinc Batteries and Symmetric Carbon Supercapacitors

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
Aqueous dispersions of native collagen were successfully explored as “green” binders in oxide cathodes for zinc batteries and in carbon electrodes for aqueous double‐layer supercapacitors. Rechargeable water‐based metal batteries attract great attention due to low cost, high safety merits, sustainable cell fabrication and an easier recyclability at the

Dense Nanofibrillar Collagen–Silica Hybrids with High Strength and ECM‐Mimetic Tissue Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 36, 4 May 2026.
Dense nanofibrillar collagen–silica hybrids are engineered by synchronizing collagen fibrillogenesis with silica condensation, producing printable scaffolds that unexpectedly approach native extracellular matrix organization and strength. These cell‐free constructs guide endogenous cell‐infiltration, enable localized matrix remodeling, and integrate ...

Self‐Powered Permeable Electronic Dressing for Exudate Management, Electrostimulation and Drug Delivery in Chronic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 36, 4 May 2026.
This study develops a self‐powered permeable electronic dressing (SPED) that synergistically integrates exudate management, electrical stimulation, and on‐demand drug delivery. The dressing effectively absorbs exudate while demonstrating potent antibacterial activity and accelerated tissue regeneration in diabetic mouse models, thereby promoting ...

Cascade‐Responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF Heterostructure Integrates Antioxidant Activity, Infection Control, and Vascularization for Tracheal Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 28, 18 May 2026.
A cascade‐responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF/GelMA hydrogel is engineered as a “skeleton–backpack” platform for extensive tracheal repair. The MXene framework scavenges postoperative ROS and converts NIR light into mild hyperthermia, while the Cu‐MOF component provides pH/NIR‐responsive Cu2+ dosing for infection control, angiogenesis, and chondrogenesis.
