Abstract A novel GCC grinding aid was prepared by aqueous polymerisation. The following optimal synthetic conditions were determined by grinding experiments: weight ratio of monomers 2-acrylamido-2-methyl propane sulphonic acid (AMPS)/acrylic acid (AA) = 1:4, weight ratio of isopropanol/water = 1.25, reaction temperature 80 °C, reaction time 5.5 h ...

Wet grinding characteristics of soybean for soymilk extraction
Journal of Food Engineering, 2011Abstract Wet grinding of hydrated soybean was carried out with mixer grinder, stone grinder and colloid mill which revealed that particle size had a profound effect on the protein recovery in the extracted milk with a maximum recovery of 89.3%. Greater reduction in particle size was achieved with mixer grinder (180 μm) with 5 min of grinding while ...

Grinding of Agglomerate AlN Powder by Wet Milling
Key Engineering Materials, 2006Fine AlN powder doped with Y2O3 and CaO as sintering additives was ground by a ball mill, a planetary ball mill and a super-fine grinding mill in order to obtain fine homogenous powder for low-temperature sintering. The size reduction and the sinterability of ground powders at 1500oC for 6 h were investigated.

Wet fine grinding in a laboratory stirred ball mill
2010Fine grinding involves a large number of parameters in its operation. In this study, the effect of some parameters such as initial particle size, filling volume of the ball and ball size distribution on fine grinding of calcite powders (-200, -150 and -100 ?m) using a laboratory stirred ball mill was studied under wet conditions. Zirconia beads (ZrSiO4)
