Self‐Adhesive Conductive Elastomers for Gel‐Free Biopotential Recording

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
σPOMaC, a self‐adhesive conductive citrate elastomer incorporating PEDOT:PSS and DBSA, enables gel‐free biopotential electrodes with stable conductivity and intrinsic skin adhesion. The composite exhibits low resistivity (∼ 0.02 Ω·cm), robust electrical performance during repeated use, and reliable on‐body ECG acquisition comparable to Ag/AgCl ...

Some studies of laser doppler anemometry in wet steam [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
This study concerns the use of counter based laser Doppler anemometry in a wet steam flow of variable wetness fraction. Velocity measurements across the flow were made under different steam conditions. Comparison was made with a theoretical profile based

STEADY STATE MODELING OF WET STEAM IN A PIPING SYSTEM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Current designs for steam piping systems are predicated on conservative deterministic design approaches to prevent the admission of moisture. This design approach may result in excess conservatism and larger, more inefficient components.

Modified model of reduction condensing losses strategy into the wet steam flow considering efficient energy of steam turbine based on injection of nano-droplets

open access: yes, 2022
In this study according to the challenges of the power generation industry and condensing losses of wet steam flow, the strategy of Nano-droplets injection in nucleation zone is used. The strategy as such have been adopted to reduce the condensing losses

CFD modelling of the condensation inside a Supersonic Nozzle: implementing customized wet-steam model in commercial codes

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2017
Abstract Non-equilibrium condensation of steam occurs in many jet and turbomachinery devices, such as supersonic nozzles, ejectors and across the last stages of steam turbines. Wet steam models are available in many commercial CFD codes and can represent the metastable behaviour of the flow with reasonable accuracy. Unfortunately, the use of built-in

Emerging Materials and Future Strategies for Solid Oxide Electrochemical Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Solid oxide electrochemical cells operate under strongly coupled electrochemical and thermodynamic conditions, where performance is constrained by interactions among crystal structure, defect chemistry, and interfacial evolution. This review, based on a structure‐defect‐property‐durability framework, reveals the roles of lattice symmetry and defect ...

Optimum Tertiary Steam-Injection Strategies for Oil-Wet Fractured Carbonates

open access: yes, 2009
Steam injection in naturally fractured formations has drawn considerable interest recently. It is believed that the steam or water heats the rock, which then undergoes a thermally induced wettability reversal. Hot water can then spontaneously imbibe into

Numerical simulation of gas flow and droplet motion in a wave-plate eliminator of the separator-steam-generator system in the waste-heat-utilisation complex

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
This paper studied the droplet transport and deposition in the turbulent flow inside a wave-plate eliminator of the waste-heat utilisation complex (WHUC).

A Highly Hydrophilic Air Electrode With Water‐Induced Surface Reconstruction for Efficient Reversible Protonic Ceramic Cell at Low Water Partial Pressures

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a new strategy for reversible protonic ceramic cells (R‐PCCs). By developing highly hydrophilic oxides, efficient operation is achieved under low water vapor pressures while maintaining high performance and stability. This approach addresses the challenge of hydrogen production in freshwater‐scarce regions.

Perimeter‐intensified inverse Zr‐Co oxygen carrier for biomass chemical‐looping gasification with high CO selectivity

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Chemical‐looping gasification (CLG) offers a promising route for renewable biomass valorization, yet conventional oxygen carrier regeneration with O₂/H₂O is energy‐intensive and often produces low‐quality syngas. Here, we develop an inverse ZrO2/Co3O4 oxygen carrier that enables selective biochar oxidation and efficient lattice‐oxygen transfer
