Noise‐Limited Bit Precision in Ferroelectric Synaptic Transistors for High‐Resolution Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐frequency noise spectroscopy defines the resolvable conductance states of synaptic FeFETs by coupling read‐current fluctuation with usable dynamic range. The resulting noise‐limited bit precision establishes a universal, device‐agnostic reliability metric beyond the memory window, enabling quantitative benchmarking and rational design of high ...

Modeling of the swelling–shrinkage behavior of expansive clays during wetting–drying cycles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
International audienceThis paper presents a constitutive model for simulating the swelling–shrinkage volume change of expansive soils during wetting–drying cycles. Based on the concept of the critical swelling–shrinkage state proposed by Zhao et al. [21],

Impact of weathering on a cement-treated sand [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
This study’s main goal was to examine how the wetting/drying solicitations affect the mechanical behavior of a cementtreated sand. A quantitative method based on the stress-dilatancy approach was used to assess the effects of two types of wetting and ...

Multifunctional Solid Polymer Electrolyte Films Integrating Intrinsic Self‐Healing and Dual Photo‐/pH‐Responsive Ionic Sensing for Intelligent Flexible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multifunctional solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) films integrating intrinsic self‐healing, mechanical stretchability, and dual photo‐ and pH‐responsive ionic conductivity are developed. Constructed from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and hydrogen‐bonded poly(thiourea triethylene glycol) (PTUEG3), these films form a dynamic supramolecular network ...

Impact of wetting-drying cycles on dynamic tensile strength of rock

open access: yesThermal Science, 2019
To study the effect of wetting-drying cycles on dynamic tensile strength of rock, dynamic indirect tension test of sandstone samples after 0, 1, 3, and 5 wetting-drying cycles was conducted. Tensile failure was observed by digital image correlation. The result shows that failure appears in the center of the samples initially, consistent with tensile ...

Meniscus‐Guided Soft‐Lithographic Assembly of Grid‐Type Molecular Martensite Films for Single‐Crystal‐Like Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A meniscus‐guided microtransfer molding strategy enables scalable fabrication of grid‐type molecular martensite films with b‐axis‐correlated preferential texture. Sequential growth across microchannel intersections creates structurally continuous grids and robust thermoelastic actuation (∼11% strain, > 50 cycles, maximum force density: 7.1 × 109 N m−3).

Mineral Deposition From Liquid Precursors Triggered by Complementary Polyelectrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polyelectrolyte additives can delay or prevent crystal nucleation in supersaturated solutions of insoluble mineral salts such as calcium carbonate. This work reports that adding a second, oppositely‐charged polyelectrolyte leads to immediate mineral crystallization from such metastable solutions.

STUDY ON FROST RESISTANCE AND ITS DEGRADTATION MECHANISM OF CONCRETE SUBJECTED TO DRYING AND WETTING CYCLES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
application/pdfEffect of drying and wetting cycles on frost resistance of concrete was evaluated by the ASTM C666 A and the GIF. Both methods showed that drying and wetting cycles deteriorated the frost resistance of non-AE high performance concrete ...

Charge‐Tunable Coacervate Micelles for Separator Engineering in Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A separator engineering strategy based on charge‐tunable complex coacervate core micelles (C3Ms) is presented to form an ion‐selective layer regulating polysulfide transport in Li–S batteries. The micelles enable uniform adsorption onto commercial polypropylene separators and infiltration throughout the internal pore network, suppressing polysulfide ...
