Nonequilibrium Wet–Dry Cycling Acts as a Catalyst for Chemical Reactions
Recent experimental studies suggest that wet-dry cycles and coexisting phases can each strongly alter chemical processes. The mechanisms of why and to which degree chemical processes are altered when subject to evaporation and condensation are unclear. To close this gap, we developed a theoretical framework for non-dilute chemical reactions subject to ...

Reliability Study on FRP Composites Exposed to Wet-Dry Cycles [PDF]
Due to lack of research data on the rates of deterioration of FRP properties under a harsh environment exposure, it was pointed out in the design guidelines that the durability of FRP needs to be further developed. Therefore, in this study, 48 FRP samples were tested under wet-dry cycles exposure.

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

SUCTION MEASUREMENTS AND WATER RETENTION IN UNSATURATED SOILS [PDF]
Techniques for testing unsaturated soils have been investigated by the author where the measurement and control of parameters were undertaken directly. Suction was measured and controlled with a new high suction tensiometer and water content through mass

Strength properties of fresh and weathered rocks subjected to wetting–drying cycles [PDF]
Unlike previous research on soft and clay-bearing rocks, this study seeks to investigate the effect of wetting and drying (W–D) cycles on the engineering properties of two hard rocks.
