STUDY ON SOIL BEHAVIOR UNDER MULTIPLE WETTING AND DRYING CYCLES [PDF]
During thermal seasonal variations, expansive soils may exhibit increase in volume upon wetting (swell) and decrease in volume during drying (shrinkage).

A family of amorphous palladium‐based multi‐component phosphides nanoparticles, synthesized via a robust one‐step wet‐chemical method, overcoming the immiscibility of different elements and the difficulty in forming a stable, disordered structure. When applied in the electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction, these nanocatalysts effectively suppress ...

Synthesis of AgBiS2 and AgInS2 Based on Formation Energies in Sulfur‐Rich Reducing Flame
High‐surface‐area AgInS2 and AgBiS2 nanoparticles were synthesized via enclosed flame spray pyrolysis by tuning flame conditions and formation energies to guide phase formation. Flame parameters were tuned to suppress oxides and enable pure sulfide phase growth.

Stabilization of experimental bioretention basins during intermittent wetting and drying [PDF]
Stormwater bioretention basins are subjected to spontaneous intermittent wetting and drying, unlike water treatment filter systems that are subjected to continuous feed.

Complete wetting and drying at sinusoidal walls
We investigate complete wetting and drying at sinusoidally corrugated solid walls, focusing on the effects of wall geometry and interaction range. Two distinct interaction models are considered: one incorporating only short-ranged (SR) forces (applied to drying), and another including long-ranged (LR) van der Waals interactions (applied to wetting ...

Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...
