A Raman probe of phonons and electron–phonon interactions in the Weyl semimetal NbIrTe4
There is tremendous interest in measuring the strong electron–phonon interactions seen in topological Weyl semimetals. The semimetal NbIrTe4 has been proposed to be a Type-II Weyl semimetal with 8 pairs of opposite Chirality Weyl nodes which are very ...

Weyl Semimetals as Hydrogen Evolution Catalysts [PDF]
The search for highly efficient and low‐cost catalysts is one of the main driving forces in catalytic chemistry. Current strategies for the catalyst design focus on increasing the number and activity of local catalytic sites, such as the edge sites of molybdenum disulfides in the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER).

Weyl semimetal/insulator transition from holography
We study a holographic model which exhibits a quantum phase transition from the strongly interacting Weyl semimetal phase to an insulating phase. In the holographic insulating phase there is a hard gap in the real part of frequency dependent diagonal ...

Fermi Arcs and Their Topological Character in the Candidate Type-II Weyl Semimetal MoTe_{2}
We report a combined experimental and theoretical study of the candidate type-II Weyl semimetal MoTe_{2}. Using laser-based angle-resolved photoemission, we resolve multiple distinct Fermi arcs on the inequivalent top and bottom (001) surfaces.

High-pressure induced Weyl semimetal phase in 2D Tellurium
Relativistic Weyl fermion quasiparticles in Weyl semimetal bring the electron’s chirality degree of freedom into the electrical transport and give rise to exotic phenomena.

A family of topological semimetallic phases where twofold degenerate gapless points form linked rings is introduced. We refer to this phase as Weyl-link semimetals. A concrete two-band model with two linked nodal lines is constructed. We demonstrate that the Chern-Simons 3-form depends on the linking number of rings in a generic two-band model.

Chiral Landau levels in Weyl semimetal NbAs with multiple topological carriers
How the carriers behave in a Weyl semimetal if they occupy the lowest Landau level remains elusive. Here, the authors report evidences of electrons occupying zeroth chiral Landau levels with distinct linear dispersion behaviors for two inequivalent Weyl ...

Stability of the Weyl-semimetal phase on the pyrochlore lattice
Motivated by the proposal of a Weyl-semimetal phase in pyrochlore iridates, we consider a Hubbard-type model on the pyrochlore lattice. To shed light on the question as to why such a state has not been observed experimentally, its robustness is analyzed.
