Zitterbewegung in time-reversal Weyl semimetals [PDF]
We perform a systematic study of the Zitterbewegung effect of fermions, which are described by a Gaussian wave with broken spatial-inversion symmetry in a three-dimensional low-energy Weyl semimetal. Our results show that the motion of fermions near the Weyl points is characterized by rectilinear motion and Zitterbewegung oscillation.

Surface plasmons in Weyl semimetals [PDF]
The surface plasmon excitation spectrum is calculated for the Weyl semimetal within the random phase approximation. Recently, a surface plasmon mode has been predicted to exist at the three-dimensional Dirac semimetal surface due to the Dirac plasmon mode in the bulk.

Signature of type-II Weyl semimetal phase in MoTe2
A special class of topological Weyl semimetal state is predicted without respecting Lorentz symmetry. Here, Jianget al. report direct visualization of the unique surface Fermi arcs of MoTe2, confirming its type-II topological Weyl semimetal nature.

Visualizing discrete Fermi surfaces and possible nodal-line to Weyl state evolution in ZrSiTe
Topological nodal line semimetals (TNLSMs) represent a quantum state of topological matter. When the crystal/time-reversal symmetry is broken, a nodal line state is expected to evolve into a Dirac semimetal, a Weyl semimetal, or other topological phases ...

Unveiling a crystalline topological insulator in a Weyl semimetal with time-reversal symmetry [PDF]
We consider a natural generalization of the lattice model for a periodic array of two layers, A and B, of spinless electrons proposed by Fu [Phys. Rev. Lett. 106, 106802 (2011)] as a prototype for a crystalline insulator.

On Weyl Nodes in Ferromagnetic Weyl Semimetal
The ferromagnetic Weyl semimetals, such as Co3Sn2S2, feature pairs of Weyl points characterized by the opposite chiralities. We model this type of semimetals by the inversion symmetry protected and the time reversal symmetry broken Bloch Hamiltonian. It involves terms representing the tunnelling effect, exchange field corresponding to the ferromagnetic ...

Negative magnetoresistance without well-defined chirality in the Weyl semimetal TaP
Magnetoresistance of topological semimetal shows unusual electron transport behaviour. Here, Arnold et al. demonstrate detailed Fermi surface topology of Weyl semimetal TaP and show that negative longitudinal magnetoresistance shows up without well ...

Chiral nodes and oscillations in the Josephson current in Weyl semimetals
The separation of the Weyl nodes in a broken time-reversal symmetric Weyl semimetal leads to helical quasi-particle excitations at the Weyl nodes, which, when coupled with overall spin conservation allows only inter-nodal transport at the junction of the
