Hulled wheats’ (Triticum spelta, Triticum dicoccum) grain quality, germination, and viability characteristics

open access: yesБіологічні студії, 2015
Parameters of grain productivity, seed viability and quality of hulled winter wheat plants from two species (Triticum spelta L., Triticum dicoccum Schrank Schuebl.) grown under Ukraine south steppe zone conditions were studied and compared with the same ...

Photoregulation of Seed Wheat Germination

open access: yesIzvestiya of Saratov University. Chemistry. Biology. Ecology, 2010
Based on literature review and own investigations a grow photoregu lation problem of wheat seedlings was analyzed. Was show, that some photoregulation systems of wheat embryo have tuned in certain level of light signal. Was proposed the important role of lightenviron ment in a period of seeds embryogenesis for wheat germination.

Combined Photothermal and mTOR‐Targeted Therapy Overcomes Immune Evasion and Enhances Checkpoint Blockade Efficacy in Metastatic Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that photothermal therapy, while inducing immunogenic cell death in triple‐negative breast cancer, paradoxically activates the oncogenic mTOR pathway to drive immune evasion. To counter this, a smart nanocomposite is engineered to co‐deliver localized hyperthermia and mTOR inhibition.

Fermented Lacticaseibacillus Paracasei Cultures Ameliorate Colitis by Modulating Microbiota‐Derived Tryptophan Metabolism and Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A solid‐state fermented probiotic (PYW) is developed using wheat bran as substrate, containing high viable Lacticaseibacillus paracasei and bioactive metabolites. PYW alleviates intestinal inflammation by gut microbiota composition, enriching indole derivatives, activating aryl hydrocarbon receptor signaling, and regulating macrophage polarization. PYW

From Natural Discovery to AI‐Guided Design: A Curated Collection of Compact Enhancers for Crop Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Precise transgene‐free gene upregulation remains a challenge in crop biotechnology, as conventional enhancers often exceed CRISPR‐mediated knock‐in size constraints and face regulatory hurdles. Here we establish a foundational cross‐species resource of compact transcriptional enhancers developed via STEM‐seq, a high‐throughput screening ...

Multigenerational Drought Reveals a Stable Wheat Seed Fungal Community

open access: yesPhytobiomes Journal
Wheat (Triticum spp.) is a staple food crop, providing a fifth of the world's protein and caloric needs. Our research examines the impact of multigeneration postflowering drought stress on the wheat seed endophytic fungal community.

Organic Heirloom Winter Wheat Variety Trial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Many consumers are interested in heirloom wheat for flavor, perceived health benefits, or its history, while many farmers are interested in heirloom wheat because it may have superior genetics better adapted to the challenging growing conditions in the ...
