While roadside verges might have potential as connecting corridors for grassland habitats and their inhabitants, roadside mowing negatively impacts grassland arthropod densities. Abstract Cryo‐scanning electron microscopy (CryoSEM) permits the preparation and detailed imaging of bulky samples while keeping them in a hydrated state.
