Multi‐Module Micro/Nanorobots for Biomedical and Environmental Remediation Applications
Multi‐module microrobots (MNRs) have overcome the limitations of single‐module systems by integrating components such as propeller, actuator, manipulator, and imaging modalities. They show promise in biomedical applications, such as targeted drug delivery and tissue repair, as well as in environmental remediation, including pollutant removal.

The geometrical shaping of coumarin‐153 single crystals into next‐generation disc and ring resonators using Xe‐plasma FIB milling is demonstrated. Optimized beam parameters (30 kV, 100 pA/50 pA) enabled precise fabrication. This approach minimizes structural damage while ensuring high‐quality photonic traits.

Cylindrical Beam Propagation Modelling of Perturbed Whispering-Gallery Mode Microcavities [PDF]
We simulate light propagation in perturbed whispering-gallery mode microcavities using a two-dimensional finite-difference beam prop- agation method in a cylindrical coordinate system. Optical properties of whispering-gallery microcavities perturbed by polystyrene nanobeads are investigated through this formulation.

Brillouin Lasing with a CaF_2 Whispering Gallery Mode Resonator [PDF]
Stimulated Brillouin scattering with both pump and Stokes beams in resonance with whispering gallery modes of an ultra high Q CaF_2 resonator is demonstrated for the first time. The resonator is pumped with 1064 nm light and has a Brillouin lasing threshold of 3.5 microwatt.

Whispering gallery modes for a transmission problem [PDF]
We construct a specific family of eigenfunctions for a Laplace operator with coefficients having a jump across an interface. These eigenfunctions have an exponential concentration arbitrarily close to the interface, and therefore could be considered as whispering gallery modes. The proof is based on an appropriate Agmon estimate.
