White-Light Emission from Magic-Sized Cadmium Selenide Nanocrystals
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2005Magic-sized cadmium selenide (CdSe) nanocrystals have been pyrolytically synthesized. These ultra-small nanocrystals exhibit broadband emission (420-710 nm) that covers most of the visible spectrum while not suffering from self absorption. This behavior is a direct result of the extremely narrow size distribution and unusually large Stokes shift (40-50

Dynamic Fluctuations in Ultrasmall Nanocrystals Induce White Light Emission
Nano Letters, 2012Individual ultrasmall CdSe nanocrystals have recently been found to emit white light, but the ultimate origin of the phenomenon has remained elusive. Here we use a combination of state-of-the-art experiment and theory to show that excitation sets the ultrasmall nanocrystals into a fluxional state.

All-Perovskite Emission Architecture for White Light-Emitting Diodes
ACS Nano, 2018We demonstrate all-perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) with white emission on the basis of simultaneously solving a couple of issues including the ion exchanges between different perovskites, solvent incompatibility in the solution process of stacking different perovskites and carrier transport layers, as well as the energy level matching between

Single‐Component White‐Light Emission in 2D Hybrid Perovskites with Hybridized Halogen Atoms
Advanced Optical Materials, 2019With single‐component photoinduced white‐light (WL) emission, low‐dimensional hybrid halide perovskites have emerged as a new generation of luminescent materials; however, the effect of halogens on the intrinsic light emissions and the corresponding ...

A stable Alq3@MOF composite for white-light emission
Chemical Communications, 2016A blue-emitting MOF served as a host for encapsulating yellow-green-emitting Alq3 to obtain white-light and was used in WLEDs.
