White light emission from a single organic molecule with dual phosphorescence at room temperature

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
The development of single molecule white light emitters is extremely challenging for pure phosphorescent metal-free system at room temperature. Here we report a single pure organic phosphor, namely 4-chlorobenzoyldibenzothiophene, emitting white room ...

Understanding the white-light flare on 2012 March 9 : Evidence of a two-step magnetic reconnection

open access: yes, 2012
We attempt to understand the white-light flare (WLF) that was observed on 2012 March 9 with a newly constructed multi-wavelength solar telescope called the Optical and Near-infrared Solar Eruption Tracer (ONSET).

From X-ray dips to eclipse: Witnessing disk reformation in the recurrent nova USco [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The 10th recorded outburst of the recurrent eclipsing nova USco was observed simultaneously in X-ray, UV, and optical by XMM-Newton on days 22.9 and 34.9 after outburst.

The 2010 August 01 type II burst: A CME-CME Interaction, and its radio and white-light manifestations

open access: yes, 2012
We present observational results of a type II burst associated with a CME-CME interaction observed in the radio and white-light wavelength range. We applied radio direction-finding techniques to observations from the STEREO and Wind spacecraft, the ...

Photoluminescence studies of a perceived white light emission from a monolithic InGaN/GaN quantum well structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this work we demonstrate by photoluminescence studies white light emission from a monolithic InGaN/GaN single quantum well structure grown by metal organic chemical vapour deposition.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Luminescent characteristics of Dy3+-doped polymethyl methacrylates for white light-emitting diode

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
To explore white-light-emitting materials, a series of Dy3+-doped polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) samples are prepared by polymerization method. Excitation spectra and emission spectra are experimentally investigated.

A circular white-light flare with impulsive and gradual white-light kernels

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
White-light flares are rare solar events entailing emission in the optical continuum. Here, the authors report a nearly circular white-light flare observed on March 10th 2015 that contains simultaneously both impulsive and gradual white-light kernels.

Clustering‐Induced White Light Emission from Carbonized Polymer Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, 2021
Despite the advancements in synthetic methods, it is still challenging to prepare white light‐emitting carbon dots for solid‐state white light‐emitting diodes (LEDs). Herein, the synthesis and characterization of a carbonized polymer dot (CPD) that emits

Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager observations of linear polarization from a loop prominence system

open access: yes, 2014
White-light observations by the Solar Dynamics Observatory's Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager of a loop-prominence system occurring in the aftermath of an X-class flare on 2013 May 13 near the eastern solar limb show a linearly polarized component ...
