Animals as an indicator of carbon sequestration and valuable landscapes
Possibilities of the assessment of a landscape with the use of succession development stages, monitored with the value of the Mean Individual Biomass (MIB) of carabid beetles and the occurrence of bird species are discussed on the basis of an example ...

This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

The White-tailed eagle (H. albicilla) and the Steller's sea eagle (H. pelagicus) overwinter in the same region of Japan: North-western Hokkaido. To examine how and if these two species compete at their overwintering grounds the following questions were ...

Bone cancer pain and depression share a common origin: astrocytic A2‐to‐A1 transition in the posterior piriform cortex. This phenotypic shift disrupts the ATP–adenosine–A2AR–norepinephrine axis, simultaneously driving nociceptive and affective dysfunction.

Trend of White-tailed Eagles Breeding in Japan During the Past Quarter-century
The number of breeding pairs of White-tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) in Japan has increased yearly, from only ca. 30 pairs confirmed in the early 1990’s to more than 250 pairs in 2015.

We developed a nanoparticle named OAF, which simultaneously targeted to both the brain and liver via the transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1) receptor, promoting lipoprotein receptor‐related protein 1 (LRP1) expression to enhance amyloid‐beta (Aβ) clearance. In AD mice model, OAF significantly reduced Aβ deposition and cognitive impairment, while a mitigating

[The contamination of white-tailed sea eagles with organochlorines in Poland].
The residues of PCBs, DDTs, HCHs, HCBz, PCBz, CHLs, aldrin, dieldrin, endrin, isodrin, endosulfan 1, endosulfan 2, mirex, TCPM-H and TCPM-OH were determined in breast muscles and an egg of white-tailed sea eagles collected in Poland in 1991-1995. The method of measurement was capillary gas chromatography and low resolution mass spectrometry (HRGC/LRMS)

Sepsis‐associated encephalopathy (SAE) lacks effective therapies. We developed ME@FDsi, a biomimetic nanodrug using a tetrahedral framework nucleic acid to deliver disulfiram and siTNFα. It crosses the blood‐brain barrier, targets M1 microglia, inhibits pyroptosis and inflammation, and scavenges ROS.

This study explores the opposing effects of the mGluR2 and mGluR3 receptors on amyloid precursor protein processing. mGluR2 promotes amyloidogenic cleavage, while mGluR3 favors non‐amyloidogenic pathways. Using a brain‐penetrant nanobody as a mGluR2 positive allosteric modulator, the study uncovers how its chronic activation aggravates amyloid‐β burden
